Pu Erh brick Ai Lao Shan Zhuan

A dark Pu Erh (shu/ripe Pu Erh) Gushu produced in Simao region of Yunnan province. This tea gives a nutty, well balanced flavour with sweetish notes reminiscent of Chinese dates. Each individual brick is a blend of 50% of Pu erh Superior (Grade 1) and 50% 0f Pu Erh (Grade 3).
The tea was pressed in the spring of 2016 from the already fermented material from Ai Lao Shan produced in 2010. The monkey on the packaging reflects the Chinese horoscope sign for this year (fire monkey).
Each brick weighs 100g.

This aged tea is unique in many ways. It’s a living tea teeming in microbes gained during its fermentation process – think yogurt and you will get the idea.
